From centuries, Indian society is divided in Caste System. This system is not only discriminatory, but also outdated. Though after independence, the constitution of India provisioned Equality for all the citizens, Caste Based biased are still observed in every corner of the country. Political parties are gaining from this division and plays dirty caste based politics using provisions of reservations under constitutions.
This petition is to spread awareness amongst Indian Citizens to give away their caste and contribute in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's incomplete dream of "Jati Mukt Bharat".
Below are the provisional amendments required in current constitution, to be addressed in this petition:
1. Give legal birth right to an individual to give up caste.
2. When a couple belongs to different castes and both of them are well educated (having Master's Degree or higher), their child will not be benefitted from Reservations, if applicable.
3. Asking "Caste" to any kid below 18 Years should be made illegal and can be a crime under laws of "Discrimination".
4. Convert "Caste Based Reservation" into "Category Based Reservation". People will fill within a "Category" and not "Caste". For e.g. Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
5. Asking "Caste" in any Public or Private application should be made illegal and can be a crime under laws of "Discrimination".
